Sandwich Plate by Royal Albert of Fine Bone China, Heirloom Pattern introduced in 1940s. 22ct gold, distinctive royal blue with rust flowers. Often used in TV series such as Forsyte Saga and Upstairs Downstairs. 

Some people refer to this as a cake plate.
